SARD Diagnostic Tool

This tool automatically collects system and SARD configuration data to help our support team diagnose your issue quickly.


Overview

The SARD Support Diagnostic Tool gathers technical information about your system and SARD installation by providing our support team with everything they need in one step.


What This Tool Collects

  • Windows version and system specifications
  • SARD file versions and integrity checks
  • Driver installation status
  • Game process detection
  • Active connections to SARD servers

Note: This tool does NOT collect personal information, passwords, game credentials, or any data unrelated to SARD.


Requirements

  • Windows 10 or newer
  • SARD-protected game installed on your system

Tip: Right-click the executable and select Run as administrator for complete diagnostic results.


How to Use

Step 1: Close Your Game Completely

Important: Make sure your game has been closed for at least 1 minute before starting. Close any leftover launcher.exe or game processes from previous sessions.

Step 2: Run the Diagnostic Tool

  1. Download SARDCheck.exe
  2. Double-click the file to run it
  3. Click Browse and select your SARD folder (see below for help finding it)
  4. Click Start Monitoring

Note: If you see a "Windows protected your PC" warning, click More info then Run anyway. The tool is safe.

Step 3: Start Your Game

Once the tool says "Waiting for game to start...":

  1. Open your game launcher (if applicable)
  2. Log in to your account
  3. Click Play/Start to launch the game
  4. Wait until you are in the game (not just the launcher)

The tool will automatically detect when your game starts.

Step 4: Play for at Least 5 Minutes

After your game is detected, the tool will continuously monitor connections to SARD servers in the background. Play the game normally for at least 5 minutes to give the tool enough time to capture all connection data.

Step 5: Stop and Save Results

When you are ready:

  1. Click the Stop button in the tool
  2. Click Save Results to File
  3. Choose where to save the file
  4. Send the saved file to the support representative

Finding Your SARD Folder

The SARD folder is located inside your game installation. Common locations:

[GameFolder]\sard\
[GameFolder]\game\sard\
[GameFolder]\Game\SARD\
[GameFolder]\Release\SARD\

Tip: You can copy the path directly from Windows Explorer's address bar.


Understanding the Status Indicators

The tool shows 4 status lights:

StatusMeaning
FilesSARD files exist and are valid
DriverAnti-cheat driver is loaded
GameGame process detected
ConnectionsConnected to SARD servers

Status Colors:

  • Green = OK
  • Yellow = Checking...
  • Red = Problem detected

Unsafe Driver Warning

If the tool detects an unsafe driver (like inpoutx64.sys), it will stop and show a warning with a link to removal instructions. You must remove the unsafe driver and restart your PC before SARD can work.

Troubleshooting

Windows SmartScreen Warning

This warning appears because the tool is not widely distributed. Click More info then Run anyway to proceed.

"Driver NOT LOADED"

Common causes:

  • Secure Boot enabled - May block the SARD driver (most common)
  • Antivirus blocking - Your AV may have quarantined the .sys file
  • Game not started properly - Make sure you're in the actual game

Tool Times Out Waiting for Game

  • Make sure you started the actual game, not just the launcher
  • Some games take longer to load - try waiting a bit more
  • If your game crashes on startup, the tool will still collect partial data

Tool Does Not Run

Ensure you are running Windows 10 or newer. If the issue persists, contact support for alternative data collection methods.


Notes

  • Close your game for at least 1 minute before running this tool
  • The tool runs locally and does not transmit data automatically
  • Results are encrypted - only SARD support can read them
